Overview

Olympic Stars has two tracks in rhythmic gymnastics and ballet.

Rhythmic Gymnastics is a female sport which is officially included in the Olympic Games Program. It is created as a mix of ballet, acrobatics and artistic gymnastics.

Ballet is an art; it is a classic dance which was developing for centuries. Modern ballet is a mixture of classical, folk and national dances, gymnastics, pantomime and sometimes acrobatics.

General Program

Program is created for girls who want to practice recreationally, around 2-4 hours a week. It helps girls to develop flexibility, graceful move, to keep healthy weight and to understand culture of sports and arts.

Groups of general program are divided by age and level of gymnastics or ballet:

  • Kids groups, for girls 5-6 years old
  • Beginners, for girls 6-8 years old
  • Beginners, for girls 9-12 years old
  • Beginners, for girls older than 13 years old

  • Middle level, for girls 6-8 years old
  • Middle level, for girls 9-12 years old
  • Middle level, for girls older than 13 years old

  • Advanced level, for girls 6-11 years old
  • Advanced level, for girls older than 12 years old

  • Fitness group, for girls who needs additional cardio and power exercises.

Professional Program

Program is created for girls who want to practice gymnastics for the purposes of participating in national and international competitions, contests. The program will give them an understanding of practicing rhythmic gymnastics or ballet a very high level. Children of these groups are highly dedicated, disciplined and willing to achieve high results with help of coaches and parents.

Time of practice per week is 8-18 hours. Children are accepted to professional program by assessment, which includes physical test and interview with girls and their parents.

  • Pre-professional level, for girls 6-8 years old
  • Professional level, for girls older than 8 years old

Rhythmic Gymnastics

Rhythmic Gymnastics is a female sport which is officially included in the Olympic Games Program.

It is created as a mix of ballet, acrobatics and artistic gymnastics. Gymnasts use different apparatus in their program: rope, hoop, ball, clubs and ribbon. Rhythmic gymnastics is very developed all over the world, especially in Russia, Spain, Italy, the USA, Japan and other countries. Gymnasts are participating in various competitions, including Olympic Games, World Championships, Asian Championship and other international and national competitions of different levels.

Rhythmic gymnasts in Qatar have good opportunities in rhythmic gymnastics. They can participate in annual Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship of Olympic Stars, which involves over 100 gymnasts from all over Qatar. Also they can participate in Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship of Qatar as well as represent Qatar internationally inside and outside Qatar.

Competition performances of gymnasts are very bright having beautiful leotards, music, impressive pirouettes, split jumps. It seems like a dance but behind each move there are long hours of hard working.

Ballet

Ballet is an art; it is a classic dance which was developing for centuries. Modern ballet is a mixture of classical, folk and national dances, gymnastics, pantomime and sometimes even acrobatics.

Olympic Stars has structured program of ballet with performances and competitions several times a year. Girls have an opportunity to show their skills and learn how to perform. A methodical approach, which is used in teaching ballet, will help the child to learn own anatomy, to understand where body's strengths, to develop coordination of movements. Ballerinas are known for their grace and great posture. Grace is not only a feature of the body, but also of personality and behavior. If you want to see your child elegant and graceful, you should introduce them to ballet.
